Eligibility Requirments for Nova Scotia PNP:
Candidates in the Express Entry pool who wish to be considered for a provincial nomination under Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream must:
- Need any Express Entry Profile – Yes
- Connection to Province – No
- Any kind of Job offer required? – No
- Language proficiency is – CLB 7
- What is the Education level required? – High School
- Any prior Work Experience – Express Entry Requirement or Priority NOC (if indicated)
- What about Settlement Fund – Not required
Candidates interested in applying under Nova Scotia PNP must have a valid federal Express Entry profile under one of the three federal economic immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker (FSW);
- Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC); and
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

What is the process to apply?
The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream is invitation-only. Candidates must build an Express Entry profile to be considered for the stream if they fulfill the minimal requirements.
- After that, they’ll have to sit tight and wait for a letter of interest (LOI) to arrive from Nova Scotia. In such case, the LOI will be sent to the candidate’s Express Entry profile via their IRCC account.
- A Nova Scotia application is required of the potential applicant. Nova Scotia will notify the applicant if the government approves their application for provincial nomination. This notice will be delivered to the applicant’s IRCC online account.
- The applicant’s CRS score will rise by 600 points, practically ensuring that they would get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in the next Express Entry draw.
- The candidate must complete and submit an official application for Canadian permanent residency within the allotted term. Express Entry-submitted permanent residency applications are typically processed in six months.
