Step By Step Process for Masters in USA requirements

Bangladesh is the third-largest sender of international students to the USA, next to India and Nepal, amongst the South and Central Asian countries, as per the US Embassy in Dhaka. Over the past few decades, many Bangladeshi students have shown interest in pursuing MS in the USA.

Step 1: Academic Reports:

● Apply for a master’s in the USA, Bangladeshi students must have 16 years of education.

● The minimum CGPA that excepts by some universities is 2.7 out of 4 but chances are very low to get admission. The average CGPA should be 3.0 out of 4.

Step 2: Take a Language Test:

● You will have to take up standardized tests like IELTS and TOEFL.

● There are few institutes that might ask for GRE exams. In addition, you might be asked to take up the SAT or GMAT when you apply for specific programs.

Step 3: Shortlist Your Universities (Masters in USA requirements)

● You can shortlist a minimum of three to a maximum of five schools, and start applying.

● Do not apply to every university because There is a lot of time and money involved that you need to think of.

● Also, Choose your program relevant to your previous background.

Step 4: Apply

● Remember that you need to start all your inquiries 1 year in advance so that you can apply early on, owing to limited seats or limited scholarships.

● You can apply for application forms from the university or college WEB.

● Before you start applying you should know the admission criteria of each university or college that you have shortlisted.

● while applying to certain institutes, if a student feels that he/she needs to learn about backlogs and the eligibility requirements at the institute for students with standing backlogs or backlog history, the best source to enquire about that would be the university website or the admissions team.

● Make sure you are wary of the deadline of each institute and apply with the required documents to each institute for Masters in USA requirements.

● Documents that should not be missed include certified copies of your transcripts and mark sheets, test scores, LORs(letter of recommendation),

Sops(statements of purpose), financial documents, and health certificates.

Step 5: Get your I-20 Form

● You must wait to receive the I-20 If the university you have applied to accept your application, they will send over the I-20 within a week, and if the university rejects your offer, they will deny I 20.

Step 6: Ask for financial help/ Scholarships

● Financial aid could be mostly merit-based or need-based.

● US institutes offer scholarships, bursaries, or other financial aid, though limited. Not all scholarships are free, some could partially cover all your expenses and tuition costs.

Steps 6: Bank Solvency:

● You have to show one-year funds for whatever duration course you are going to. One year Tuition fees + One year Living Cost.

● This cost is typically mentioned on your I20. Before I20 you would have it on the college website.

● Those students who are highly meritorious but do not have adequate funds to support their education can still study at those institutes through such scholarship schemes.

Steps 7: Visa Apply

● The next big step, which decides everything, is applying for a US study visa.

● You can apply for the F1 visa which the majority of students looking for full-time academic courses apply for.

● For the visa interview, you have to visit the embassy in Dhaka with a non-immigrant visa application form.
